South East Queensland’s New Developments

South Queensland region has experienced significant investment over the last five years, supporting its economy with advanced manufacturing, knowledge-based industries such as health and education, traditional drivers like construction and tourism as well as an enviable labor force of 186,391 people – an unemployment rate of 6.5% as at 30 June 2022!

Meadowbrook precinct is an area of strategic development in Logan City aimed at strengthening Logan’s role as a regional centre for health, education and well-being. The creation of this precinct will lead to substantial job creation across healthcare, education and community sectors.

This new precinct will include a state-of-the-art facility – Metro South Hospital. This state-of-the-art hospital will serve as the hub for all clinical and support services in its catchment, creating over 1,000 jobs along with access to Griffith University and TAFE Queensland campuses – helping grow a skilled workforce for this expanding industry.

Our South regional office is one of 14 across Queensland that support businesses to mature, expand, and invest in Queensland. This can be accomplished through interactions, information, presentations, workshops (both online and face to face) as well as hosting events to promote South East Queensland businesses that can be seen on our calendar of upcoming events.

Caboolture West is one of Australia’s largest greenfield growth areas, projected to welcome approximately 70,000 residents over four decades. Residents will benefit from accessing diverse housing options as well as local parks, shops, schools and community facilities in this vibrant community setting.

Caboolture West Interim Structure Plan (CWISP), developed jointly between City of Moreton Bay, state government agencies, infrastructure providers, developers and landowners will ensure rapid residential developments while creating cohesive communities.
